Can you get dental implants with severe bone loss?

What causes jawbone loss?

Do I need bone grafting before dental implants?

How long does bone grafting take to heal?
Bone grafts typically need 3-6 months to heal before implants can be placed. Minor grafts done alongside implant placement don't add extra healing time. Your treatment plan will include a clear timeline based on your specific situation.
Is bone grafting painful?
Bone grafting is done under local anaesthesia and is no more uncomfortable than a tooth extraction. Sedation is available for nervous patients. Most patients manage post-operative discomfort with over-the-counter painkillers for a few days.

I have been coming to Dental by Design for 2 years. This clinic is very different, they do care about the patients. I was terrified of dentists before, but I had fillings, a root canal and even an implant here.
