Root Canal Treatment

Endodontic treatment (commonly referred to as root canal treatment) is used to save and restore natural teeth that have become internally infected.

The pulp tissues within teeth consist of a complex network of nerves and blood vessels that are susceptible to infection if exposed to bacteria and decay.

If specialist intervention is not sought, the condition is likely to progress and result in the tooth being extracted. There is also a risk of infection spreading to nearby teeth and causing additional issues.

Thankfully, effective root canal treatment can save affected teeth in most cases, restoring their appearance and function. A local anaesthetic is used and it should feel no different to having an ordinary filling done. There may be some tenderness afterwards but this gradually disappears over time.

  Had a great experience at dental by design. Came in with lots of damaged, broken teeth as I didn't maintain it well. Went to a couple clinics across London and didn't really find anywhere that I could trust until I found Dental By Design. Met the team and they calmed my nerves and the entire process has been super smooth and professional. Had multiple implants done and they look fantastic and feel like my original teeth.
